SHIH-Poo
A Shih-poo is a mixed breed dog that is produced by mating a
Poodle and a Shih - Tzu. They have been bred in an attempt
to combine the characteristics of the Poodle, such as its
intelligence and low-shed coat, with the desirable traits of
the Shih - Tzu. Some owners prefer Shih-Poo's over Shih Tzus
because the snout of the dog is less pushed in, therefore
alleviating many breathing problems that shih-tzus can
experience. The  Shih-poos have notable references in
popular culture .

Appearance

The Shih-poos'  appearance varies significantly. It will take
characteristics from both of its parents. One consistent trait
of the breed is its size, normally weighing about 10 lbs or
less. It is long coated like the Shih-Tzu, though its coat
texture can be straight, curly, or wavy. Normally the
Shih-poo's general build will be somewhere between that of
its parents. It can be any color or color combination. They
are very adorable and a kind dogs.

Temperament

The Shih-poos' parent breeds share many temperament
traits, more so than appearance. Therefore it is easier to
generalise their personality. They are normally intelligent,
alert, friendly, and devoted to their owners and like many
small dogs they love to sit in your lap. They do very well
around young children. They are demonstrative and seem to
enjoy being bragged on and being the centre of attention,
doing poorly in kennels because they want their owner's
company. The Shih-poo tends to be very sociable with other
dogs and  also do well around all other pets of any species.

Shih-poo's are usually very intelligent and eager to please
their owners. These traits make them very trainable. They
learn quickly and seems to enjoy showing off tricks.

The Benefits of Having a Shih Poo Dog
Allergy suffering tends to be low or non-existent because of hybrid
hypoallergenic qualities
(comes from the Poodle).  There is very little
dander or hair loss when compared to other dogs.  It is important to note
that no dog, not even the Poodle, is completely hypoallergenic.
Extremely sensitive people may experience slight discomfort, but that
isn't very unlikely.
The
Shih-Poo tends to have hybrid vigor, meaning less genetic problems
due to cross-breeding.  This is why it is better to get a puppy that had a
Shih Tzu mother and a Poodle father, or vice versa, as opposed to getting
a puppy that had
two Shih-Poo parents.
The result of the cross between a Shih Tzu and a Poodle
is, Hands Down the CUTES PUPPY EVER BORN!!!!
